Quite possibly the cutest cafe I've ever been too. I ordered the Egg Sandwich (on sweet potato brioche!!) and the Morning Bun latte. Both were amazing and I enjoyed them with a book under a shady table on the patio. Service was fast and everyone was super friendly.
First off the ambiance is so cute! There's seating in what looks like a cottage bakehouse, and a beautiful garden with plenty of seating too. Food is expensive but worth a stop for a coffee and pastry. Lemon poppyseed: 10/10 Soft and moist cake with the perfect amount of lemon. Morning bun: 9.5/10 I had to get it warmed but then it was delicious. Crispy flakey edge and gooey middle. The middle was a little bit intense with all the sugar clumped up. Cheddar scone: 9/10 Great texture but flavors could be stronger. Love the crispy edges but middle was a bit dry. Coffee was okay. Cold brew was okay, not memorable. Espresso was good. Nothing memorable.
While I've never been to the other locations, this Tartine is charming and offers incredible vibes. I've been here a couple of times and have only had positive experiences. The first time I came, it was mid-morning and there was a line out the door. Second time, later morning, they still a line but it was more manageable. Good news - even though they are consistently busy, there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. However, I would highly recommend sitting outside as it features a very charming garden setting. The coffee and pastries are also delicious! We have tried a decent assortment the pastries in their case and all have been delicious. Our most recent selections were the bacon chive scone and the seasonal hand pie - we were not disappointed! The coffee is good but admittedly I'm no connoisseur so I'm not sure how it compares. This chain has the potential to be overhyped but that is definitely not the case (at least for this location). Highly recommend!
This amazing breakfast/lunch place is a beautiful place for a good & fresh meal! Every time I've come here the food is fresh, natural, and delicious. Now for the food: Tuna Sandwich 10/10: if you love tuna sandwiches this. Is. Your. Sandwich. The sweet relish with a pickled carrot on the side is the beautiful balance of sweet & sour! Breakfast sandwich 7/10: tasty breakfast sandwich BUT will say the bread is a bit too small for the portion of the food Although this place tends to get busy & there tends to be a line out the door, the service is fast & attentive! everyone is very friendly and the staff make sure the outside and inside are clean! great spot to have small-large sized groups. They have long tables located outside great for larger groups!
A highly-regarded bakery in San Francisco, I have been so happy to have Tartine here in LA. All of the food and drinks are high quality, but my #1 is the bread, particularly their "country" bread. One of my favorite basic things to do there is get the warm bread and butter with a drink, and grab a loaf (or half) to bring home. This location's space is so peaceful and atmospheric with the colors, lighting, and outdoor garden space.
